Elevated painting at Turley Law Building, Dallas

The south side of Turley Law Center was in need of repair and painting. The previous coating had chalked down from years of wear. The colors had oxidized. We hand washed all the panels and glass removing the oxidation powder. We caulked as needed and repainted the panels with a durable acrylic and overcoated with a Sherwin Williams industrial, clear acrylic. All safety protocols were observed. The job was performed cleanly, methodically, and timely without accident or incident.

Stairs in downtown parking garages partially exposed to elements were rusted with years of wear. Left unattended corrosion will eat through and staircase will fail. With proper maintenance and restoration they will look good and wear long almost indefinitely without corrosion fatigue.

Hospitals—Children’s ward at Medical City

The Facilities contractor that supplied the cherry wood to remodel the children’s ward had it stained and finished from different locations. When it was installed, the color differences were evident and the quality of the finish varied widely. The architect was unhappy and ordered it torn out. At this point we were called in. We were given a short time to bring it up to standard (uniform stain color and saturation). We solved the artistic problems and the technical coatings problem. The supplied panels were finished with an acid catalyzed lacquer. We brought in a European waterborne lacquer with equal performance characteristics and a very low VOC, very low to no odor. We applied the finish with camel hair brushes and restored the original expectation. The project was award winning. Problem solved.
